A Year at Padley Wood - Spring

Last traces of Winter have vanished now, leaving a resolutely forward impetus everywhere. All about, the plants begin to express their individual textures, so evident in the young foliage. And the scents of early morning and late evening, not yet at their maximum, but full of promise.

One magical morning, an early mist lent a special jungly feel to the garden. First alfresco meals are enjoyed, and evenings become longer and mellow.
