    Introduction

    Those in the know will point out that most commercially available wine is not suitable for vegans; I know, and it's my only regular transgression. However, with a trend towards minimum interference, particularly with higher-end wines, more are becoming so naturally.

    My other major love in the drink line is Scotch whisky, particularly single malts, and most especially those from Islay.

    A more recent thing for me is cocktails; I'm slowly building a reasonable "bar" - that is a set of drinks and additives, not a naff construction in the living room - so I'll list my favourites as I try them.
